Casa del Arenal was born from a simple idea: some of life’s most meaningful moments happen around a warm cup of coffee.

A quiet morning before the world wakes up. Rain falling softly outside. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filling the kitchen. Conversations with family. A moment of calm and gratitude.

We created Casa del Arenal to share that feeling with you.

Where It Began

Although I was born in San José, some of my most cherished childhood memories were made in San Juan de Puriscal, where my grandparents lived.

I spent countless days exploring the countryside, running through coffee plantations, breathing the fresh mountain air, and watching the rhythm of rural life unfold around me. Those visits shaped my understanding of Costa Rica and taught me that coffee is far more than an agricultural product. It is part of our culture, our hospitality, and our everyday rituals.

Even after moving abroad, those memories remained vivid and deeply meaningful.

Why We Created Casa del Arenal

After years living in Berlin and working in technology, I wanted to build something that connected entrepreneurship with my Costa Rican roots.

Casa del Arenal is the result.

Inspired by the beauty of Arenal Volcano and the warmth of Costa Rican homes, the brand was created to bring exceptional products from Costa Rica to customers in the United States and beyond.

We begin with specialty coffee, sourced directly from family farms that are committed to quality, sustainability, and craftsmanship. Over time, we plan to share other carefully selected products that reflect the richness and traditions of Costa Rica.
